One person reads every Illinois case before a letter goes out. That person is me.
I'm Gaston Sitbon. I run DispuPoint alone. I read every case before a letter gets drafted, and I sign off on every draft before it reaches you. No team of contractors. No "our legal experts." One name you can verify and hold accountable.
I built this because I fought my own property manager for a year and won. If your board or management company is stonewalling you, I've been exactly where you are.
The fight that started it
In April 2025, Westward360, the manager for my Chicago condo at 1330 N La Salle, hit my account with $775 in disputed fees. I paid $200 in good faith while I asked what the rest was for. The remaining $575 never added up. I spent a year sending emails. The board acknowledged the complaint. The company never substantively answered.
So I stopped writing emails and started rereading them. Hundreds of pages: correspondence, ledgers, portal screenshots, fee schedules. The leverage was already sitting in the documents. I'd just never gone back through them with the right frame.
The demand letter went out April 21, 2026, anchored to specific documents the company itself had created. The manager wrote back in nine days and approved $475 of the $575 for removal, in writing. The last $100 sits in board-decision territory and isn't worth chasing.
The money stopped being the point long before that letter went out. What kept me going was the pattern: fees that vanish from the rule book the moment you challenge them, stonewalling, and a quiet bet that you'll give up. Most people do.

Who I am, and how to check
Born and raised in Chicago. Wrigleyville, Lincoln Park High School. I joined the U.S. Air Force in 1998 and served twelve years across the US, the UK, Belgium, and Iraq, first as an avionics technician, then as a French and Arabic linguist after 9/11.
I left active duty in 2010, earned a finance degree from the American University of Paris, and moved to Poland in 2012, where I built a specialty coffee company and later a grocery-delivery service that was acquired in 2022. I moved back to Chicago in 2026. I'm 46, two kids, and the kind of person who'll read every page of a two-hundred-page record if the case matters.
I started DispuPoint in March 2026 and work on it full-time, daily. Not a weekend AI build, not a side hustle.
None of that matters unless you can verify it, so here's the ninety-second version: open a new tab and search my name. Gaston Sitbon. If any one of those were fake, the others would still point to the same person. No anonymous avatar. A real person you can name.
What "Reviewed by Gaston Sitbon" actually means
DispuPoint uses AI to read your documents fast: bylaws, fines, notices, ledgers, the whole record. It checks hundreds of pages in minutes and surfaces the lines that contradict the bill you're disputing. That part is automated, because AI is good at speed across volume. It's not where the leverage call gets made.
Then I read it. All of it. I check the AI's work against the source documents, decide which claim to lead with, and draft your assessment in my own voice. I sign off on every letter before it reaches you. If your case isn't winnable, I tell you that directly instead of drafting a letter that wastes your money.
Then you sign and send it yourself. DispuPoint drafts; you send. That's deliberate: DispuPoint is a document preparation service, not a law firm. The demand stays in your hands, and so does the relationship with your board.

What happens to your documents and data
Everything sits on Cloudflare infrastructure in the United States. No data brokers. Nothing sold or shared. The pipeline that reads your documents runs in US data centers, so your bylaws, ledgers, and emails never leave the country.
Only I read your case material. That also means a small access surface: one person, not a team with logins. The one-click "Delete my account" button in your portal wipes everything DispuPoint holds, documents, account, and history. No retention, no recovery.

Common questions
Is DispuPoint a law firm?
No. DispuPoint is a document preparation service. I'm not an attorney and don't give legal advice. The assessment explains your situation in plain English. The demand letter cites the Illinois statutes that apply. You decide what to do with both.
Who actually sends the demand letter?
You do. DispuPoint drafts it and I sign off before it reaches you. You review it, sign as the homeowner of record, and send it to your board or manager. That keeps you in control of the dispute and keeps DispuPoint out of representing you.
What if my case isn't winnable?
If there isn't enough leverage in your documents to support a credible demand, I tell you that directly, with the reasons. No retainer, no hourly billing, no surprise invoice. Either you get a letter worth sending or a straight answer about why you don't have one.
How do I know you're a real person?
Search my name and click any of the verified links on this page: LinkedIn, the TED talk, the YouTube interview, the TikTok channels. If one were forged, the others would still verify the same person.
